I've been looking for perscription shooting glasses, and wound up with every-day glasses they work so well. We live in a windy, dusty, dirty town, and I was always clearing junk out of my eyes that made it past my glasses, and getting blinded by sunlight leaking around the sides of my glasses. These are made from ballistic polycarbonate, and are OSHA and MIL-Spec. With an inner perscription lens made from CR-39 polycarbonate, I now have 2 layers of ballistic plastic between my eyes and flying objects.
I use the Copper and Amber lenses the most (Copper lens is an order item from ESS right now, but BQ has promised to carry it.) The Amber lens makes an excellent Night Driving and poor light driving lens. The Copper lens is an all-around daylight outdoor lens. the dark grey lens is the one I use least, but if I were in a bright-glary situation, I'd be glad I had it.
The fastener on the provided case is weak, and needs reinforcement for military or rough use. It's a soft case, and offers NO protection to the lenses you carry inside, short of protecting them from being scratched.
Overall, for $40 each, it's a very good investment.
